What's new in Glinks?
The place for new features, official announcements, and updates on Glinks.
v2.1 (June 27, 2026)
A big update focused on teams and sharing. Glinks now works much better for organizations.
- Organizations & custom subdomains: Sign in with your work email and set up an
organization ID on first login. Your team's links now live at your own branded address —
for example
yourcompany.getglinks.com/mail. - Admins & members: Organizations now have admin and member roles. Admins can manage all of the organization's links, people, and settings, while members manage the links they own.
- Organization Settings: Admins get a new settings page to set the organization name and contact number, control public links, and get the browser extension for the team.
- Manage your team: From the Team page, admins can promote members to admin or demote admins back to members (an organization always keeps at least one admin).
- Public links: Mark an organization link as public so it resolves without requiring people to sign in to Glinks first. (The destination may still ask for its own login.)
- QR codes: Every link now has a QR code you can view and download — handy for slides, docs, and posters.
- Site icons: Links now show the destination website's favicon, making your list easier to scan at a glance.
- Smarter copy: Copying a link now gives you the right shareable URL automatically — your branded organization link for shared links, or a direct link for private ones.
- Address bar shortcut: Type
go, press Tab, then your link right in the browser's address bar to jump straight there — a handy backup that works even on networks where plaingo/links don't resolve. - More reliable extension: The browser extension now sets up your
go/andg/links the moment it's installed, so redirects start working right away. - Faster redirects: Following a
go/link now takes you to your destination in a single hop, so links open a little quicker.
v1 (April 11, 2024)
- Largest update of the Glinks extension.
